The UAA Biological Sciences Seminar presents Dr. Meg Howard, who will be speaking about SARS-CoV-2 emergence, shift from localized pandemic to global event and a discussion of pandemic response and how this will inform the next Disease X.

Dr. Meg Howard is a principal investigator with broad expertise in molecular virology, EID, biological surveillance and applied biological research. Experience leading CONUS/OCONUS research and surveillance programs, basic research and OpEx programs for various USG funding agencies (DARPA, NIH, NSF, DTRA, USFS, EPA, etc.). Expertise in Coronavirus, Influenza, Measles and other emerging infectious diseases.
