Please join the University of Alaska Anchorage Native Student Services for our 2021
Virtual Graduation Celebration! Our programming begins with Reasons to Strive on Thursday, May 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Zoom (register at tinyurl.com/reasons2strive). We will share some time with Carol Seppilu and Crystal Toolie who are both ultra-marathoners
from Saint Lawrence Island. Please join us for a conversation with our guests. We
will follow that with a screening of Games of the North and a roundtable discussion
about wellness.
NSS Graduation Ceremony
Please join Native Student Services' celebration of our graduates’ accomplishments
during our formal virtual NSS Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 14 from 2 to 5 p.m. on Zoom (register at tinyurl.com/nssgrad2021). We will have a performance by Acilquq, a Yup’ik drum and dance group, student
speaker: Kiana Carlson, an Elder invitation by Jim and Susan Labelle, a keynote address
by Aleesha Towns-Bain and Angela Peacock, and a slideshow presentation of all our
graduates.
