Nominations are now open for the 2022 Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence!

The Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence is awarded each year by the University of Alaska Foundation Board of Directors to an individual whose work has demonstrated excellence in support of the University of Alaska. For the purpose of nominations for the prize, “excellence” has been defined as “superiority, surpassing goodness and merit, a particular virtue.” Accordingly, the prize may be awarded, for example, to faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in their teaching, research or public service activities; to students who have distinguished themselves in their studies; to administrators who have made significant contributions to the university through their work; or to alumni who have earned the university great credit and wide national exposure. This award is one of UA’s most prestigious awards. The amount of the award is $20,000.

The deadline to submit complete nomination packets, including application, resume or curriculum vitae and letters of reference, is Dec. 1, 2021. Nominations are being accepted via an online application.

For more information regarding the application process, visit the University of Alaska Foundation website or contact Dory Straight at dory.straight@alaska.edu.
