UAA School of Nursing student job opening

The UAA School of Nursing currently has a job opening for the Student Worker position in the Nursing Skills Labs. This position will be in-person in the nursing labs for the fall 2021 semester and beyond. We currently have a need for Monday through Friday evening shifts (3-7 p.m.). This is a "pool" job posting, so if you are not selected for this position, your application will stay in the pool to be considered for future openings. The schedule for this position can be flexible, depending on the needs of the labs and the student worker’s school schedule. This is a part-time, temporary student position, with up to 20 hours per week.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Lab Assistant with setting up/cleaning up the nursing skills labs for students and instructors.
  • Assisting instructors with various needs during labs.
  • Keeping an inventory of supplies.
  • Various other duties as assigned by the Lab Assistant and NRC Coordinator.

Job applicants must:

  • Be taking a minimum of 6 credits during the current semester.
  • Have excellent organizational skills.
  • Be reliable.
  • Have a flexible schedule.
  • Have some familiarity with medical equipment/supplies (helpful but not required).
  • Be taking pre-nursing classes or classes towards a healthcare-related degree program (helpful but not required).
