Meteor Showers: what, why, where, when?
Thursday, Nov. 11, 7 p.m.
Facebook Live and Zoom

Long dark night skies have set in. Now is the season to look up. You may notice some little lights with strange motions across the sky. Some fast, some slow, some streaking across the whole sky and lighting up the landscape. You can see these shooting stars almost every night if you look long enough. But, there are certain nights when they seem to take over the sky. We have meteor shows every month. Each shower reignites year after year. What are they? Why do they happen? Where are they from? When do they occur? Learn all about meteor showers with UAA Planetarian, Omega Smith, during this live presentation.
