Alaska's economy is in recovery mode, but how much optimism is warranted this year? Join ISER for an online presentation Wedensday, Jan. 26, from noon-1 p.m. for insights from economist Mouhcine Guettabi. He will give an overview of how the economy has changed since the onset of the pandemic and a look at the opportunities and challenges for Alaska in 2022. As associate professor of economics at ISER, Dr. Mouhcine Guettabi has been researching aspects of Alaska's economy and providing economic forecasts for several years. This year he accepted a position at University of North Carolina Wilmington but continues to work with ISER on several projects, including the 2022 Alaska economic forecast.
