February marks Black History Month, an opportunity to understand and celebrate in solidarity. From movie nights to comedy and conversation, join the UAA community in celebrating at one of the upcoming events happening this month.
- Feb. 16, 1 p.m. — "For the Rights of All: Ending Jim Crow in Alaska" Screening & Discussion (virtual event)
- Feb. 17, 7 p.m. — UAA at the Movies: The Harder They Fall (Black History Month Film) at Century 16
- Feb. 18, all day — Free popcorn at Jazzy Gourmet Popcorn
- Feb. 23, 5 p.m. — Conversation Café: The Politics of Being BIPOC at Work (virtual event)
- Feb. 25, 7 p.m. — Free Karaoke & Comedian Alex Babbit at the Student Union Den
- All month: UAA/APU Consortium Library celebrates Black History Month
