Dear UAA Community,
I am excited to announce that Dr. Tonia Dousay has been selected as the new director for the UAA School of Education (SoE) and she will begin her role July 1. Dr. Dousay has most recently served as associate dean of assessment and accreditation for the University of Idaho. She holds a Ph.D. in learning, design and technology, and a M.S. and B.S. in agricultural education. She has also been awarded grant funding for several projects to improve student experience and education.
I want to also offer my sincere thanks to the members of the SoE Director Search Committee, as well as to everyone who helped to organize and participate in the process.
Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Dr. Dousay to Alaska and to this position.
Warm regards,
Denise Runge
UAA Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
