Covid & Beyond: Black Health & Wellness Town Hall

by UAA College of Health  |

The Alaska Black Caucus is inviting the community to attend the first-ever "Covid & Beyond: Black Health & Wellness Town Hall." This event will be taking place on Thursday, June 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium of the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Our town hall will feature an open discussion with a medical professional panel, audience Q&A, and a thought-provoking conversation on mental health, women’s health, stress, and racism. The UAA College of Health also will present eye-opening findings from its first-ever Black Health Assessments report. Additionally, we are honored to be screening a short film, titled "Toxic: A Black Women’s Story." Lastly, in-person attendees can check out our health fair in the lobby, which will feature local medical providers and on-site health screenings.

"Covid & Beyond: Black Health & Wellness Town Hall" will be available to stream live on Facebook and Zoom. Please follow the Alaska Black Caucus and the UAA College of Health to livestream the event and for instructions on how to attend via Zoom once that becomes available.
