Job opening: Library Technician - Alaska Medical Library / Archives & Special Collections at the UAA/APU Consortium Library

The Consortium Library, University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), is recruiting a fulltime Library Technician III to work 75% in the Alaska Medical Library (AML) and 25% in Archives and Special Collections, both units of the Consortium Library. For AML, the library technician handles document delivery for Alaska healthcare providers and other professionals who use AML’s services; manages AML’s interlibrary loans to and from medical libraries in the U.S. and Canada; maintains AML client records; and assists medical librarians in their provision of research services to the university and to the wider community. The library technician plays a vital role in providing reliable, evidence-based medical literature to a broad range of patrons. For ASC, the library technician supports a variety of the work responsibilities of the archivists. This includes reception duties; digitization projects; retrieval, reshelving, and other collection management and maintenance; and tasks supporting additions to the Alaska's Digital Archives.
