FREE MHFA Training

by Green & Gold News  |

The College of Health Division of Population Health Sciences has sponsored an Adult Mental Health First Aid training for their students. After priority registration, there are still open slots, so we would like to invite anyone interested to attend.

Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.

This is the blended version of the course which requires two hours of asynchronous pre-work before participating in a face-to-face session on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.at 1901 Bragaw, Basement Room B14.
