Summer opportunity for faculty: FUSE Faculty Fellows program

by Green & Gold News  |

First Undergraduate STEM Experiences (FUSE) is launching a Faculty Fellows program this summer.

The program seeks to have cross-discipline faculty teams design, create and deploy an activity that draws on multiple disciplines (which could include, for example, homework sets, active learning engagements, guest lectures) during the 2025-2026 academic year in one or more courses.

Each Fellow will be awarded a $2000 stipend for their work this summer and will be named a FUSE Faculty Fellow by the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE).

Interested faculty members are asked to fill out the brief pre-application by May 19 and plan to attend the application workshop on Wednesday May 21, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in CPISB 105A. Snacks will be provided.

Pre-application

At this workshop, potential fellows will be able to discuss their ideas with other faculty and finish the application process. Questions may be directed to CAFE at uaa_cafe@alaska.edu
