UAA Residence Life is seeking volunteers to assist with Fall Move-In on Aug. 21 at UAA's Residential Community.

Fall move-in is almost here! We anticipate a large group of students arriving on Thursday, Aug. 21 to move in, and volunteers are welcome! Move-in is hard work, but if you have close-toed shoes and want to roll up your sleeves, consider volunteering! Volunteers may be asked to assist with moving boxes, pulling carts, breaking down cardboard, collecting trash, etc.

We're looking for volunteers for morning and/or afternoon shifts on Thursday, Aug. 21. Registration opens Wednesday, Aug. 13 and closes on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025 at 12 p.m. All participants will be required to complete a Smartwaiver, and will receive the Smartwaiver link and Move-in Day instructions upon completion of registration.

Please note: Individuals may register to volunteer by completing the Move-In Volunteer Registration form and will be assigned to a move-in area on the day of your shift. Although groups of volunteers may represent an organization or department, they must register individually, and we cannot guarantee placement with other group members during volunteer shifts!

Fall Move-In tents, tabling and solicitation

Safety is our first priority during fall move-in! Due to the number of residents, families and volunteers actively moving throughout the residential community, we are not able to accommodate any tents, tabling or solicitation by organizations during this time.
