Leadership training in conflict resolution, Feb. 24

by Green & Gold News  |

UAA CAFE invites employees to attend the webinar 'Leadership training in conflict resolution', on Feb. 24.

Dealing with conflicts using empathy and respect is crucial for anyone in a leadership position. Faculty and staff are invited to register for the latest National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) leadership training. The NCBI Controversial Issue Process provides space for people on both sides of an entrenched issue to express their concerns, listen attentively to the other side, and reframe the issue in a way that respects the concerns of both sides.

Participants will learn skills for effective conflict resolution and get hands-on practice using the Controversial Issue Process with fellow participants. This training is led by Kimberly Pace, Associate Professor of Political Science. If you have questions, email uaa_cafe@alaska.edu
