'Coalition-Building for Leaders', in-person training

The UAA Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) invites all UAA faculty and staff to attend the 'Coalition-Building for Leaders' in-person training series.
The three-session in-person leadership series emphasizing leadership skills that strengthen human connection and build value-driven individuals that uplift community and collaboration. This training is modeled after the principles of the National Coalition Building Institute, providing tools and research-based leadership practices that cultivate spaces where everyone feels heard, respected, and empowered. This training is open to all UAA faculty and staff.
Participants will learn to:
- Integrate core coalition-building practices into their leadership and teaching
- Cultivate meaningful professional relationships
- Navigate conflict with confidence
- Create more welcoming and collaborative learning environments.
Participants must attend all three one-hour sessions. Sessions will be led by Dr. Kimberly Pace, Associate Professor of Political Science. To support open, honest conversation, sessions will not be recorded. If you have questions, email uaa_cafe@alaska.edu.

The sessions will be held on March 17, 24 and 31 from 12 - 1 p.m. in LIB307.
