Community Creators Scholarship deadline April 1

The deadline to apply to the Audre Lorde Community Creator Scholarship is April 1.
The Community Creator Scholarship is a new annual scholarship from the Department of Community & Belonging (C&B), awarded
to UAA students who have demonstrated a dedication and passion for building a university community
where all students thrive. C&B dedicates its resources to creating inclusive communities
for all UAA students, staff, faculty and community members, and seeks to honor students
who similarly foster belonging and inclusivity.
Each year, the Community Creator Scholarship will be named to honor an individual
who has demonstrated commitment towards uplifting their communities. This year, the
Community Creator Scholarship honors Audre Lorde, a community organizer and intersectional feminist who dedicated her life to love,
taking care of others and rising up against oppression.
