Interprofessional education public health case study event, April 10
by Green & Gold News |
The UAA College of Health invites all students to attend an interprofessional education public health case study event on April 10 during National Public Health Week.
Students from across health and social service majors will collaborate with faculty and community partners to explore a real-world public health case. Through rotating small-group discussions, participants will build on ideas from previous groups to develop collaborative solutions.
The case focuses on how professionals must respond quickly during a campus crisis to protect community health and safety while supporting students with disabilities who have been displaced during the emergency.
What to expect during the event
- Participants will explore a public health crisis scenario where professionals must work together to:
- Protect campus health and safety
- Support students displaced during the crisis
- Address the complex needs of students with disabilities
- Collaborate across health, public safety, and social service professions
Participants will build on ideas from each discussion group to develop interprofessional solutions to the case. Registration is required.
