Biological Sciences Seminar: Graduate Student Showcase, April 10

The UAA Department of Biology invites you to join us this Friday, April 10, at 2 p.m. in ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building, Room 120 for a seminar with our very own BIOL A692 graduate students! The seminar will be followed by a social hour with light refreshments and an opportunity to discuss research topics with the speakers.
The following graduate students will present fast-paced, eight-minute talks showcasing their latest research and discoveries in biological sciences:
- Jennessa Labonte: Differential Impact of oxyPAHs and PAHs on the Cardiac Contractility of Juvenile Chinook Salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha)
- Ben Peterson: Otariid Foraging Dynamics during a Marine Heatwave
- Madison Haumschild: Mercury Dynamics in Breeding Adult Female Grey Seals (Halichoerus grypus)
- Zoe Muccatira: Recovery of Rare Earth Elements using Methylotrophs from Extreme Alaskan Environments
- Eugene Mulinde: C3-Liposomal Co-Delivery of TLR Agonists and a STAT3 Inhibitor Enhance APC Activation in a Tumor Conditioned Bone Marrow Model
- Teresa Becher: Cook Inlet Belugas: Estimating Age of First Reproduction by Evaluating Cementum in Teeth
