The Seawolf Dining Catering team was honored to prepare a nourishing Mother’s Day meal this weekend for the 60 survivors and children staying at the Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis (AWAIC) Shelter.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations like AWAIC and to give back to our community in a meaningful way,” said Seawolf Dining Program Director Trenten Hall.

The AWAIC team is a longstanding Anchorage organization providing domestic violence intervention, prevention, and shelter services to women and children in need of safety and support.

Members of the Seawolf Dining team shared that “being able to provide comfort through food is a gratifying experience.” General Manager Chris Tarsitano added that “supporting families during important moments is a responsibility and privilege that our team really values.”

Supporting organizations like AWAIC reflects Seawolf Dining’s ongoing commitment to serving not only the UAA campus, but also the broader Anchorage community through meaningful partnerships and acts of service. Throughout the year, the Seawolf Dining team works to support a variety of community-focused initiatives that address food insecurity, student well-being, and outreach efforts across Anchorage.
