UAA's Bromee fourth at CU Invite

Loveland, Colorado – Ella Bromee led the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team with a fourth-place finish in the slalom at the CU Invite Tuesday.

Bromee recorded the fourth-fastest first run and followed up with the 11th-fastest second run to finish fourth in 1:30.83.

Carmen Nielssen finished 18th (1:32.53), and Olivia Carrier was 28th (1:34.51).

Giorgio Baldo was the top finisher in the men’s placing 13th (1:26.85), and Dylan Timm was 17th (1:27.04).

Carlo Cordone and Tommaso Olcese finished 24th (1:27.77) and 29th (1:28.28).

UAA is currently fourth in the team standings.

Denver’s Sara Rask won the women’s race (1:29.70), and Johs Herland of Utah won the men’s (1:25.12).

UAA will compete in the giant slalom races at the DU Invite Wednesday.
