Biography

Greetings! My name is Paul Landen and I'm a Professor of Psychology (Promoted to Professor 08/18, Tenured and Promoted to Associate Professor 08/13) at the Kenai River Campus of Kenai Peninsula College (KPC) of the University of Alaska Anchorage. I started at KPC in May 2005 as a Counselor. I left for University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) for two years, returning to KPC as the Psychology Professor in Fall of 2008.

  • UAF Coordinator of the Joint UAF-UAA Ph.D. in Clinical Community Psychology;
  • Assistant Professor of Counseling here at KPC;
  • Director of International Programs at Ferris State University and the University of Vermont;
  • Coordinator of International Exchange Programs at Michigan State University (MSU);
  • Academic Counselor for the Department of Electrical Engineering at MSU;
  • Nine years in Residence Life at MSU, specializing in working with the Lyman Briggs and James Madison residential Colleges.

In addition, I spent a year as a VISTA: Americorps Volunteer at Yuut Elitnaurviat People's Learning Center in Bethel, Alaska. 

I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor.
