Dear UAA Faculty and Staff, Last year, the three universities worked with UAHR and system governance groups to improve how Longevity Awards are determined for faculty and staff. These changes, which will be implemented this fiscal year, include honoring employees’ prior service as students, temporary assignments, and breaks in service when calculating longevity.

Anchorage (Aug. 14) – The UAA women’s basketball team will hit the Alaska Airlines Center hardwood for 16 contests in 2025-26, including a pair of games against NCAA Div. I competition in the ASRC/ConocoPhillips Great Alaska Shootout.
UAA Seawolf Athletics is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Athletics Academic Advisor. Seawolf Athletics is a member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), and competes in multiple National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) divisions. The Seawolf program features 13 teams competing at both the Division 1 and Division II levels.
On Aug. 13, the Alaska Humanities Forum announced its Leadership Anchorage 2025 cohort, which includes four UAA alumni from various disciplines and one staff member.
