UA College Savings Plan receives top rankings in investment performance

 

UAA 3D printer and professor Jeff Hoffman assist in dramatic face reconstruction

Jeff Hoffman, a mechanical engineering professor at UAA, created a 3D model from the CT scan of the crushed face of an injured Soldotna man. Anchorage surgeon James Kallman used that model to help shape titanium mesh implants to restore structure to the man's face. The patient is recovering well.
