Jan. 18, 2017: Jazz up your semester with live music from Alex Cruver Trio

Jazz up your first week of classes with the Alex Cruver Trio and music from Bill Evans, Paul Desmond and original compositions!

The trio first formed through a jazz combo course offered by Karen Strid-Chadwick in the fall of 2009. The musicians are actively collaborating in the community, working with Spenard Farmers Market, Sweet Cheeks Cabaret, Momentum Dance Collective and Spenard Jazz Festival since forming. All three members are active in the community as solo musicians, members of Anchorage Symphony/Anchorage Civic Orchestra, and various groups within the Anchorage and Mat-Su communities. The group released a live album of original compositions by Alex Cruver in 2013.
