Shawn Dinkins '13, reigning soup chef of the city, serves up meals for Anchorage's hungry youth at Covenant House Alaska. Next up: a culinary training program to help residents land kitchen careers outside the shelter. "It's so rewarding," she said.

New admission application deadlines and late fee for the Anchorage campus

The Anchorage campus has a new schedule of application deadlines to encourage students to complete their admission earlier, so they have the time needed to meet with an academic advisor, register for classes, and apply for financial aid putting them on the path to success. The application deadline for fall is July 15.

Terry Fields, director of the Weidner Property Management and Real Estate Program at UAA's College of Business and Public Policy, received a 2017 Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) 30 Under 30 Award.
