Congratulations to October Staff Recognition Award recipient Meredith McIntire

Congratulations to Meredith McIntire for receiving the October Staff Recognition Award! Meredith is the First-Year Residential Experience Residence Coordinator and has been working tirelessly with faculty and staff across the institution to connect first-year students to the resources they need to be successful. For example, Meredith has created a schedule where financial aid, first-year transition advisors, and math tutors spend time on residential campus to increase students' access to resources. These individuals will have a greater presence in UAA's residential community than ever before, thanks to Meredith.
Before joining Residence Life, Meredith worked for six years in the old Advising & Testing Center as a professional academic advisor. Meredith brings that experience into her work with residential first-year students and is making an incredible splash. The impact of Meredith's work will continue to make itself evident as the year goes on and retention increases on residential campus.
Meredith, thank you for your continued work and dedication-you are making a huge difference at UAA!
