Risky Business: Predator-Prey interactions in the Gulf of Alaska Friday, Nov. 16, 3:30-4:30 p.m. ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building, Room 120

Dr. Amy Bishop from the Alaska SeaLife Center will be presenting on her research. Dr. Bishop is a Research Scientist at the Alaska SeaLife Center. Her research explores topics of animal movement ecology, human-wildlife interactions, and early-life strategies in marine megafauna. She has a Masters of Coastal Environmental Management from Duke University, and a Ph.D. in Behavioral Ecology from Durham University, England where she focused on grey seal breeding strategies. Amy was a postdoc at UAA from 2015-2016 working with Dr. Jennifer Burns and Dr. Eric Bortz on harbor seal health and bio-monitoring in the Aleutians.
