Gearing up for summer

Each year, the UAA Summer Engineering Academies offers students grades three through 12 in Anchorage and the Mat-Su a variety of week-long, engineering-themed camps. Each academy is designed to encourage interest and provide a hands-on, unique educational experience in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, also known as STEM.

Call for Howl Days presentations

This year, we will be trying a new, interactive format for Orientation that will allow for students to pick and choose sessions with various presentations by departments — that's where you come in! This new format will allow for more departments to have the ability to participate in Howl Days and will also allow students to have a unique experience based on their individual needs.

UAA Accounting Services open late March 11, 2020

UAA Accounting Services will open late on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 for staff training. The Call Center and Cashiering windows will open at 1 p.m. Student account payments may be made online 24/7 via ACH or credit/debit card. Check payments may be dropped in the drop box outside the Cashiering windows. Departments may utilize the drop box for departmental deposits.

IT Services VPN upgrade notification

IT Services is performing a maintenance upgrade to the VPN concentrator beginning on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at 10 p.m. through 12 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11. The upgrade will patch several security issues and provide for compatibility with MacOS Catalina.

Online registration open for summer 2020 Culinary and Bakery Boot Camps for youth

Culinary Arts and Hospitality Administration will be offering summer Culinary and Bakery Boot Camps for ages 11-17. Spaces are currently available in the camps running June and July (Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m). Classes are held on campus in the Lucy Cuddy Hall and range from basic to advanced, teaching youth skills that will last them a lifetime.
