Employees and students, schedule your COVID-19 vaccine appointment with SHCC April 6-7

by UAA Student Health and Counseling Center  |

The UAA Student Health and Counseling Center will provide COVID-19 vaccines by appointment April 6 and 7 to UAA employees and students only who are 18 years or older. Call the SHCC to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment at (907) 786-4050.

The SHCC will be administering Johnson & Johnson's vaccine, which requires only one dose. SHCC will announce more by-appointment vaccination dates in the coming weeks. Please note only the Pfizer vaccine is approved for use in those under 18 years old.

We encourage you to get vaccinated!

On March 9, Gov. Dunleavy announced the state had broadened eligibility to include all Alaskans age 16 and over. Alaska is the first state in the nation to make vaccination available to all members of the public.

For more information about other local vaccine providers, please review recent communications from the UA statewide office. Please remember that until more people in our state are vaccinated, it's important to continue practicing COVID-19 safety measures: Wear a mask, avoid gatherings of people outside your household, stay 6 feet away from others and wash your hands frequently. Remaining vigilant now will allow all of us to be together in person sooner.
