Police training to impact East Campus May 18

On Tuesday, May 18, UAA will partner with local law enforcement departments to facilitate a police training drill that will restrict some vehicle traffic on the east side of the Anchorage campus. While this is just a training exercise, it is designed to simulate real emergency situations.

Return to campus plan

Dear UAA Anchorage Campus Employees: I’m following up regarding our plan to return to on-site campus operations this fall. As you know, summer session courses began this week. We continue to follow the same protocols as we did during the spring '21 semester with limited face-to-face courses, about 72 this semester, and restricted access to campus facilities.

ISER Webinar - Census Bureau Data: Balancing Privacy and Accuracy

Alaska has joined several other states to sue the Census Bureau about reporting data from the 2020 US Census. Census data are used to draw legislative districts, allocate billions of federal funds to communities each year, and measure prevalence rates for health conditions, criminal victimization, and many other population-based measures. The agency has delayed reporting the detailed results from the 2020 Census while it finalizes a new strategy for protecting privacy of respondents.
