Virtual spring: How UAA faculty went from the classroom to online

UAA's professors had exactly one week to switch gears from providing traditional instruction to moving all their classes online. Despite the challenges, they’ve risen to the occasion to provide students with a seamless and stress-free-as-possible experience for the rest of the spring semester.

On April 14, we were notified of two COVID-19 incidents within Anchorage campus facilities. Since these are the first confirmed cases related to COVID-19 on the UAA campus, we want the university community to be aware of the process that follows the report of a confirmed COVID-19 case.

Juried Student Art Show awards nearly $2,000 in prizes to students

This year's Juried Student Art Show was moved online! UAA students could enter up to two pieces in the show. Our guest juror, Amy Johnson, was also able to award up to $2,000 in cash prizes! David Joel came out with Best In Show with his "And then there was light" piece (pictured), along with over 15 other amazing entries from various artists.
