How do you contribute to student success?
Working with major gift officers and generous donors in this community, I contribute
to student success by helping to raise financial support that assists in the future
success of UAA students, departments and programs.
How long have you worked at UAA? Why did you decide to join UAA?
I started on June 1, 2020, so I have been here under one month. I decided to join
UAA because I wanted to work at a mission-driven organization and make an impact in
my local community!
What is the most common question you receive at work?
"Do you have time for this project?"
What do you enjoy most about working at UAA?
All of my co-workers have been really kind and welcoming, and have vast experience
in philanthropy and development, so I am looking forward to continuing to learn from
them and collaborating with them every day!
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment while working here at UAA?
I am so new that my greatest accomplishment so far is learning about all of the facets
of University Advancement and UAA.
What is your favorite Alaska activity?
Hiking to the waterfall by our house is my favorite local adventure. I also have been
learning how to fly fish, and I really enjoy that!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I love to create: I enjoy painting with acrylics, making polymer clay earrings and
taking adventure photography.
