Purpose
To reduce paperwork and to facilitate the purchase of low-value items.

Definitions
Procurement Card: A corporate liability card that is issued to and individual but is the property of the university. It may be used for small purchases with a value of $2,500 or less.
Policy
Procurement Services publishes a cardholder's guide for the procurement card program. The Procurement
Card Handbook may be viewed at the Procurement Services Web site. The handbook contains
information on the process, cardholder and department responsibilities, prohibited
use and misuse. All forms used in the procurement card program may also be found at
this Web site.
