STAC exists as a meeting place for all University of Alaska Anchorage students interested in promoting affordable textbooks and learning materials at UAA through education, advocacy and resource distribution. STAC may also involve prospective students, faculty and staff of UAA, and community stakeholders in the pursuit of this purpose. All are welcome to participate in increasing access to affordable textbooks at UAA!

UAA’s Real Estate Management + Investment (REM+I) Workshop is a three-day, interactive opportunity for high school students to explore career and educational opportunities in real estate management and learn how and why people invest in income-producing real estate.

Open to faculty and staff, this session explores the importance of using students' correct pronouns to create a more welcoming and inclusive learning environment. The session will introduce the topic of pronoun use, explore practices for gender inclusivity in a university context, and illustrate the importance of this practice for student belonging.

Faculty proposals are now being accepted for the 2022 Selkregg Community Engagement and Service Learning Award. The application deadline is Friday, March 25, 2022, by 5 p.m.

Starting April 4, students and staff will be able to access most campus buildings during the day without a WolfCard.

ISER and the UAA Department of Public Policy and Administration are co-hosting a seminar with Dr. Chad Briggs on Thursday, March 24, from noon-1 p.m. Dr. Briggs will give an overview of the recent expansion of the war in Ukraine, including security and energy implications for the United States and Alaska. A Q&A will follow.

To support student learning through the end of the Spring semester, UAA IT Services has extended access to our old VPN solution, CISCO AnyConnect, for student access.

Undergraduate research assistants are needed for the 2022-2023 academic year to help teach a health promotion program to older adults in Anchorage and Eagle River.
