Biography

Trombonist and composer Bill Klemm began his professional music career as a trombonist for the United States Marine Band program in 1987. After leaving the Marines in 1991, he was the principal bass trombonist for The Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra (1992-2002) and studied trombone performance with John McCroskey, Brian Kauk, and Allen Barnhill at the University of Houston where he also studied music composition with Michael Horvit and Robert Nelson as well as Stuart Ostrow. Bill has remained active as a composer, instructor, and free-lance musician frequently performing with the Anchorage Jazz Ensemble, Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, and the Anchorage Concert Chorus.
